This Months Featured Crafter:  Susan Reuter

Susan Reuter represents the reason we tell our stories.  Our Sole Hope story inspired her.

Susan used her birthday as the catalyst for changing the lives of children who lack one basic necessity-shoes. After reading our Sole Hope story and understanding the life threatening challenges the children face, she was inspired to count her blessings and find a way to help.

Knowing that friends wanted to spend time with her, she seized the opportunity to bring them all together in celebration of friendship and work on a project of purpose. She contacted Sole Hope and ordered her Home Shoe Party Packet, complete with instructions, patterns, and instructional DVD.

With the basic materials laid out and ready to go, the ladies were anxious to get to work. Epicurean delights made the day a celebration, but ultimately it was the project which set the mood for an unforgettable experience.Shoes

Six ladies were able to cut enough pieces for twenty pairs of shoes. The lot was packaged and will be sent off to Sole Hope to be assembled for the precious feet of children they have never met. Shoes 3
